On 5 May 2025, World Hand Hygiene Day, we set up an interactive awareness stand in our hospital’s main entrance hall. Led by our Infection Control Committee and expert nurses, the event offered visitors comprehensive guidance on proper hand-washing techniques and the importance of hand hygiene.

Services at our stand included:

• Proper Hand-Washing Workshop: A live demonstration of the World Health Organization’s six-step hand-washing protocol

• UV Germ Demonstration: Participants discovered the “invisible” microbes on their hands under a UV lamp, experiencing first-hand how effective proper hand hygiene is

• Informational Materials: Brochures and posters on hand hygiene, infection prevention, and the risks of healthcare-associated infections

• Hand Sanitizer Station: Distribution of alcohol-based hand sanitizers along with practical hygiene tips

• One-on-One Consultation & Q&A: Our infection control nurses answered all visitor questions and offered personalized recommendations

Our stand remained open from 09:00 to 17:00 and reached hundreds of visitors. At Gaziantep Private Bossan Hospital, we believe that hand hygiene is the first and most effective step in preventing infections. We invite all our guests to make regular hand-hygiene a habit, participate in our preventive infection-control programs, and help protect the health of their loved ones.
